GENERAL PRIMARY ELECTION NOTICE

Theresa Moore, Logan County Clerk and Recorder wants to remind the public that nominating petitions and other forms for local office candidates are available in the office of the Logan County Clerk and Recorder, 628 Broadway Street, 2nd floor, in Lincoln. Please note we are temporarily across the street from the Courthouse due to construction.

Nominating petition packets are for the General Primary Election, which will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. The local candidate offices to be nominated at said election are:

Circuit Clerk
Coroner
State’s Attorney
County Board Members Districts 1-6

The only office to be elected at the General Primary Election is that of Precinct Committeeperson, which is a 2-year term.

Packets are available in our office or online at www.logancountyil.gov.

The filing period for these offices is November 27 – December 4, 2023. The County Clerk’s office is open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. We will remain open on the last day of filing (December 4, 2023) until 5:00 p.m. As a reminder, filing will be at our temporary office, 628 Broadway Street, 2nd Floor in Lincoln.
