Lincoln Fire responds to Tuesday afternoon blaze on North Chicago Street

At 15:20, (3:20 p.m.) on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, the Lincoln Fire Department was dispatched for a fully engulfed structure fire at 814 North Chicago Street.

Upon arrival, Lincoln Firefighters found heavy flames and smoke coming from the back of the house. Lincoln Firefighters quickly pulled a hand line and began offensive operations.

Lincoln Fire Department was assisted by Lincoln rural Fire Department, Atlanta Fire Department, Mt. Pulaski Fire Department, Logan County Paramedics, and the Lincoln Police Department. Currently the damage is estimated at $85,000.

The fire is currently under investigation by the Lincoln Fire Department
