[September 22, 2023]  FULTON, MS — Dale Edward Glick passed away at his son’s home in Fulton, Mississippi on September 18th, 2023, at the age of 86. He was born on December 16th, 1936, in Cowden County, Illinois on the way to the hospital in his parent’s car.

Dale Edward Glick passed away at his son’s home in Fulton, Mississippi on September 18th, 2023, at the age of 86. He was born on December 16th, 1936, in Cowden County, Illinois on the way to the hospital in his parent’s car.

His Father Vivian T Glick and Mother Marie Cutler had four sons that were assisted in child rearing by Grandmother Floy Glick in Lincoln, with Dale as the oldest son. In addition, the boys had one older sister and one younger.

After leaving high school Dale enlisted in the Air Force from November 1st, 1951, until May 4th, 1957. He enjoyed talking about being stationed in Northern Italy and learning the culture. After returning home, he joined the workforce primarily in factories, but his proudest moment came by assisting with the construction of the Lincoln Memorial Hospital where his children would later be born.

In 1976, he decided to move to Alabama with his family to start a new life. He got a job in Hamilton at a ball bearing production plant that is today called NTN Bower and retired in 2002.

He re-married in 1978, and became an active member of Good Springs Freewill Baptist Church, Vina, AL. Dale’s religious passion was reading the KJV Bible at least once a year front to back.

His artistic qualities were freehand drawing, wood carving and making western style items with leather like belts, sheaths, and holsters. Finally, his hobbies include collecting coins and rocks with special qualities like arrowheads for example. He was a modern-day cowboy that spent his days trying to help others with problems in life.

He will be missed by many and is now greeted by multitudes.

Dale Glick is survived by his youngest brother Guy “Butch” Glick, youngest sister Coleen Cox with husband Bob Cox and best friend-cousin Jackie Cutler. Daughter Angela Glick Hollis, her three children Nicole Renae Stokes husband Roy and children Jeffery, Roy and Rowdy, Chase J. Stokes wife Cristin and child Jordan, and Miranda Kaye Stokes and children Collier and Sail.
