Obituary
Marilyn V. Taylor, 87, passed away at
Piper City Rehab and Living Center on Wednesday,
September 27, 2023, at 5:16 p.m.
Private graveside services will be held on Saturday,
September 30, 2023, at St. Mary’s Cemetery in
Lincoln.
Marilyn was born in Bloomington, May 2, 1936, the
daughter of Richard and Hilda Guilfoyle. She was
united in marriage to Kenneth Taylor. He preceded
Marilyn in death in 1993.
Marilyn is survived by children, Scott (Angie)
Taylor, Angie Friedman, Jeff Taylor, and Danny
(Bobbi) Taylor, along with eight grandchildren, and
several great-grandchildren.
Along with her husband, Marilyn is preceded in death
by two sisters, one daughter-in-law, Johnni, and one
son-in-law, Jim. |
Marilyn had worked at Eureka Williams
as a receptionist and GTE as a phone operator.
She was a member of St. Andrews Church in Fairbury.
Marilyn enjoyed flower gardening, reading,
decorating for Christmas, and most of all, her
family.
Memorials in her memory may be made to American
Cancer Society, American Heart Association, or
Alzheimers Association.
Final arrangements are entrusted with
Peasley Funeral Home of Lincoln.
