Obituary
Nancy Puls, 86, of New Holland,
passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023, at Copper
Creek Cottages in Lincoln.
Nancy was born February 12, 1937, in Lincoln, the
daughter of Paul and Ruth (Baker) Miller. She
married Eldon Puls on January 12, 1958, in Lincoln.
He preceded her in death on April 16, 2006.
Nancy is survived by her children, Debbie Willis,
Jeff Puls, Randy (Betty) Puls, and Rick (Sarah) Puls;
grandchildren, Krystle (Todd) Deibert, Kate (Chad
Ballenger) Willis, Kiefer (Jamie) Willis, Nathan
Puls, and Jason Puls; and five great grandchildren,
Reese, Everett, Andrea, Avah, and Abram.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one
sister, Kay; and one brother, Glenn.
Nancy was a homemaker on the family
farm in New Holland working alongside her husband,
Eldon. After her children started school, she went
to work at The Pink Shutter in Lincoln where she was
an assistant manager. After retiring, she continued
to volunteer there for many years. |
Nancy was a member of the First
United Methodist Church of Lincoln and also enjoyed
spending time at Oasis Senior Center in Lincoln,
where she would play pinochle and visit with many
friends. She also enjoyed watching and cheering on
her beloved Chicago Cubs and Fighting Illini
Basketball. Most of all Nancy loved her family,
especially being surrounded by her grandchildren and
great-grandchildren.
A graveside service for Nancy will be held at 2 p.m.
on Friday, September 29, 2023, at Richmond Grove
Cemetery in New Holland. Visitation will take place
one hour prior from Noon to 1 p.m. at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral in Lincoln.
Memorials may be made in Nancy’s name to Copper
Creek Memory Care or Zion Lutheran School of
Lincoln.
