[September 06, 2023]
Lincoln
Memorial Hospital will host a walking challenge for the month of October
and offer fun incentives to hit the trail.
The LMH Trailblazer walking program kicked off in July 2022 and
encourages everyone to incorporate physical activity into their
lifestyle.
“We encourage everyone to come out, enjoy the fall colors and cooler
temperatures and walk the trail,” said Molly McCain, LMH Community
Health specialist. “We’ll have a grand prize for the participant who
walks the most laps, and everyone who completes 25 laps around the
trail’s pond during the month of October will earn a T-shirt.”
Participants can register for the Walking Challenge at 2023 Trailblazer
Lap Challenge Registration (google.com). Walkers will log their laps
using an online form.

The Lincoln Memorial Hospital Wellness Trail sits on
the hospital’s campus, 200 Stahlhut Drive, Lincoln. The trail
surface is smooth, paved concrete and 8 feet wide. Generally
considered an easy trail, three laps around the pond equals one
mile.
Gifted to the community in 2017 by the Lincoln Memorial Foundation,
the trail can be used for walking, running or biking and is open
from dawn to dusk and pets are welcome. Use of the trail is weather
permitting.
For additional information about the challenge, contact Molly McCain
at 217-605-5014 or
