Obituary
Steven W. Baker, 69, of Lincoln
passed away on Friday, September 29, 2023 at HSHS
St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
No Services are scheduled Cremation Rites have been
accorded.
Steven William Baker was born on May 15, 1954 in
Lincoln the son of Donald Eugene and Margaret
Tumilty Baker.
He is survived by three children: Brian (Katie)
Baker, Eric (Theresa) Baker and Michelle Gordon.
Step-Mother: Cheryl Baker, two sisters: Pamela Baker
and Julie (Scott) McKinney. Brother-in-law Bill
Schaub. Eleven grandchildren and three great
grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also
survive.
He was preceded in death by his mother and step
father: Margaret (Virgil "Red") Langenbahn , father:
Donald E. Baker, daughter : Brooke Hall, one sister:
Lori Schaub.

Steve graduated from the Lincoln
Community High School in 1972. He was employed at
the US Corrugated in Lincoln.
In high school he was very athletic
playing baseball, basketball cross country and
bowling. He was very sports minded and enjoyed
watching the St. Louis Cardinals, NASCAR driver
Denny Hamlin , the Green Bay Packers and Illini
sports
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer
Society.
