On
October 20, 2023, at approximately 4:40pm, Lincoln Police Officers
responded to a home in the 1400 block of North Logan Street for a
person down.
Officers located a male victim without signs of life and were
unsuccessful in their attempts to revive him. The preliminary
investigation revealed the victim was in a fight prior to his death.
Preliminary autopsy findings show that the victim's injuries and
death are consistent with blunt force trauma; however, a final cause
of death is yet to be determined. The victim's family has been
notified, but his name will not be publicly released by the Lincoln
Police Department, out of respect for his family.
The Lincoln Police Department and Logan County Coroner's Office are
still
investigating the incident.
