Lucas Power named October LTEC Student of the Month

Lucas Power, son of Corey Taft and Jacque Power, was named October Student of the Month for Criminal Justice program at Linconland Technical Education Center.

Lucas is a senior at Illini Central High School. Mr. Bowman, instructor, has chosen Lucas because of his dedication to excellence in the classroom and his desire and eagerness to learn as much as possible about a career in Law Enforcement. He has demonstrated the passion that is needed for a career in Law Enforcement and it is refreshing to see someone so excited about a career in Criminal Justice. He is also a great leader and during group projects he takes the lead role and keeps everyone involved and active.

Lucas is a member of National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta at Illini Central. He is the captain of the basketball and baseball teams. His plans are to go to college to major in criminal justice and become a state trooper. He would also like to coach baseball on the side.

Lucas received $50.00 from the Kiwanis Club of Lincoln who sponsors this award.
