Local youth can learn hunting and outdoor
skills during a workshop with the 4-H Shooting Sports program in
Logan County. The event is 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4 in
Beason. |
The
Logan County 4-H outdoor skills and shooting sports programs help
youth get outdoors, explore their interests, and build life skills
such as responsibility, decision making, discipline, goal setting,
teamwork, and safety. Youth will learn a variety of abilities such
as compass use, basic survival skills, wilderness planning and
packing, and basic first aid.
Programming is run by caring adult volunteers, who are certified
instructors in their disciplines. The workshop is open to any youth
age 8-18, and participants must register at go.illinois.edu/HuntingSkills.
If you will need an accommodation in order to
participate, please email the contact person for the event, Sherri
Bishop at slb3637@illinois.edu
Early requests are strongly encouraged to allow sufficient time to
meet your access needs. [to top of second
