Obituary
Laura Jean Alley, 61, of Lincoln
passed away on Monday, October 16th, 2023 at Lincoln
Memorial Hospital.
Laura was born on September 7th, 1962, in Terre
Haute, IN, the daughter of Evan Ralph and Laura Ann
(Wilson) Wright. She married Clifford Alley on July
2, 1985. He survives.
She is also survived by her children, Dwayne
(Kimberly) Alley, Heather Woolard, Matthew (Breanna)
Alley; eight grandchildren, Evan and Bryson Alley,
Hayden and Maddox Powell, Evie, Ellie, Gabby, and
Maddie Alley; three sisters, Carol, Diana, and
Marcia; and her brothers, David and Michael.
Laura was preceded in death by her parents, and one
sister, Linda. |
Laura had many hobbies including
knitting, crocheting, reading Agatha Christie books,
and collecting Fenton Milk Glass. She was an avid
Chicago Bears and Cubs fan. Most of all, Laura loved
to be with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Services for Laura will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday,
October 20, 2023, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral
Home in Lincoln. Visitation will take place two
hours prior from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. also at the
funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Zion
Cemetery in Lincoln. Memorials may be made in
Laura’s memory to the American Diabetes Association.
