KENT Nutrition Group along with the Illinois Beef Association (IBA)
will host the free Illinois KENT Quality Beef (KQB) Cow-Calf
Forum on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00
p.m. at the IBA office on the Illinois State Fairgrounds. The
full day of education will focus on cow reproductive performance
with speakers from across the country.
A highlight of the forum is keynote speaker Dr. Derrell Peel,
PhD, Charles Breedlove Professor of Agribusiness at Oklahoma
State University. Peel is a nationally known livestock marketing
economist who will share both current trends and future cattle
outlook. Along with Dr. Peel’s outlook session, topics will
include animal health protocols for reproductive strategies,
mineral nutrition, new technologies in cattle nutrition, and a
wrap-up panel consisting of an Illinois livestock market
operator and cattlemen will discuss real world application of
the day’s key learnings and strategies.

bring this unique educational opportunity to Illinois cow-calf
producers,” said Dave Wilcox, KENT Nutrition Group Territory
Sales Manager. “This forum offers producers reproductive
management strategies which they can implement immediately to
help improve herd performance.”
Along with the day’s seminars, a complimentary beef luncheon
will be provided to participants who will have a chance to win
special door prizes throughout the day, including a customized
KQB high-top table and director’s chairs.
