After starting at the Lincoln Park District, runners
made their way down Wyatt Street and took a left turn onto Home
Avenue. They then turned around at the end of Home Avenue, coming
back to Wyatt Street before finishing at the Kickapoo side of Scully
Park.

As runners made their way through the streets,
cheerleaders from Lincoln Community High School and Lincoln Junior
High School cheered them on.

For the Jansen and Fanning families, the race was a
family affair. In addition, little six year Amelia ran with her
grandfather.

The first runner reached the finish line at just over
20 minutes followed by two others in the next few minutes. Around
the 45-minute mark, the last runners made it in.

Coming in first for the men’s division was Chase
Dilworth. In the women’s division, Kenzie Chalifoux placed first.
Once the race ended, an award ceremony was held at Spirited
Republic.
