Junior Peyton Sasse was named to the All-Tournament team for her
outstanding performance in the tournament.
Senior Addy Qualters also surpassed 1,000 assists in her career this
weekend.
Lincoln head coach Kaylee Lowery was pleased with her team’s
performance in Edwardsville.
“Overall we had a great weekend,” said Lowery. “I can’t complain
about getting second place amongst a tournament filled with great
competition. It was our first real challenge of the season and sadly
by the end the girls were a little tired and we didn’t get the win.
Lincoln Way West and Breese Central were great teams and we played
some other great teams.

"The good thing about it was that it highlighted
some of our weak points, so now we know what we need to work on and
what we need to improve on. We plan to learn from this weekend and
be better because of it. Peyton Sasse had an incredible weekend. She
made the all-tournament team and had 62 kills and 25 digs this
weekend. Addy Qualters also had a fantastic weekend joining the
1,000 point club (she is now at 1,043 career assists) and had 111 of
those assists this weekend. All of our wins were a complete team
effort.”
