Obituary
Charmion “Charm” Kay Russell was a
caring partner, mother, grandmother, sister, and
friend. She left this world on August 24, 2023, at
the age of 84.
She was born to Glenn and Carmenita Hauschulz in
DesMoines, Iowa on January 21, 1939. After
graduating from high school, Charm chased her
dreams, ultimately working a long career at Monsanto
conducting quality control for the agriculture
biotechnology division. She attained her Bachelors
Degree late in life, an achievement for which she
was very proud.
In 1999, Charm left her home in Wentzville, Missouri
and took all her possessions to a new home in
Gilbert, Arizona with her partner Gerald Miller.
Charm loved spending time with any and all animals
that happened to enter into her life. She had two
horses, Ritzy and April, as well as numerous dogs
and cats.

Charm is survived by her partner,
Gerald Miller of Gilbert, Arizona, her son, Anthony
Russell of Bellflower, California, and her
step-daughter Jeri Mels of Littleton, Colorado. She
is also survived by two grandchildren, Bryan Mels of
Golden, Colorado, and Alicia Mels of Lakewood,
Colorado, as well as great grandchildren, Danny,
Madelyn, and Eddie. She was preceded in death by her
mother and father; and her brother, Kent Hauschulz
of San Diego, California.
The family will receive friends at the Falconer
Funeral Home at 251 W. Juniper, Gilbert, AZ., on
Wednesday, August 30, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00PM for
a short visitation. Graveside services will be held
at 10:00AM on Friday, September 8, 2023, at Old
Union Cemetery in Lincoln, Illinois.
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, IL,
is assisting the family with local arrangements.
