Old Iron Adventures, a television series chronicling the coast-to-coast adventures of an international auction company, debuts its 13-episode second season on Saturday, September 9, 11:00 a.m. (CDT) on RFD-TV. What’s unique about this season’s episodes is that they are the product of a collaboration between two Lincoln, Illinois-based filmmakers.

In early 2023, Auman Auctions, Inc., in Nokomis, Illinois, offered Zaknafein Luken and Jacob Tyler, owners of Z-Culture Productions and Jacob Tyler Media, the opportunity to take over production reins for conceptualization, filming, and post-production for the show’s upcoming season. Launched in January 2022, Old Iron Adventures follows the Auman Action team, highlighting the challenges each auction brings, along with behind-the-scenes looks, history lessons, and a cast of characters one meets along the journey.

Aumann Auctions is an international auction company that specializes in all things vintage power, early cars and trucks, antique tractors, motorcycles, and historical memorabilia. The company conducts hundreds of auctions each year, across the United States. Filming took place at locations in Nashville, Philadelphia, Carthage, North Carolina, and Rantoul, Illinois, among others.

Luken, already an accomplished creator of several national award-winning short films and documentaries, relished the opportunity to further hone his skills in a television series “reality” environment where creative narratives are formulated with on-the-spot aesthetic, framing, and editing decisions. “Being responsible for a television program with a national reach was an eye- opening experience,” Luken said. “Producing for a national audience represents another unbelievable professional milestone in a short amount of time.”

“I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to produce a network series, and for developing such a great working relationship with Zak in the process,” Tyler said. “It makes me excited for our future projects and collaborations.”

New episodes of Old Iron Adventures will appear on RFD-TV each Saturday morning and will reappear several times throughout each week. RFD-TV is available locally on the xFinity™ and Mediacom™ cable lineups, DirecTV channel 345, DISH Network channel 231, and Sling TV’s Heartland Package. Viewers can also purchase the RFD-TV Now streaming platform.
