Obituary
Theresa “Jane” Minick, 94, of
Lincoln, passed away on Wednesday, September 6,
2023, at Copper Creek Cottages in Lincoln.
Jane was born August 22, 1929, in Lincoln, the
daughter of Paul and Leona (Phelan) Downey. She
married Robert Minick on October 2, 1948, in Peoria.
He preceded her in death in 2013.
Jane is survived by her children, Linda Wilson,
Karen Lovelace, Mike (Becky) Minick, Debbie (Doug)
Ebelherr, all of Lincoln, and John (Becky) Minick of
Springfield; daughter-in-law, Carmen Minick of
Atlanta; twelve grandchildren; and twenty
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert;
son, Dennis Minick; son-in-law, Luther Lovelace;
sisters, Mary Ann Anderson, Margaret Ingram, and
Helen Altine; and twin great-grandchildren.

Jane retired from Lehn and Fink as an
operator after twenty-four years of service. She
volunteered for a number of years for The American
Red Cross. Jane taught warm water exercise for the
Arthritis Foundation. She also bowled for many
years. She was always reading, loved country music
and all things Christmas with her family.
A memorial service for Jane will be held at 6 p.m.
on Friday, September 15, 2023, at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Visitation will take place two hours prior from 4
p.m. to 6 p.m. A private family burial will be held
at a later date.
Memorials may be made in Jane’s name to Carroll
Catholic School, Alzheimer's Association or The
American Red Cross.
