Taylor, who is the owner of the business, said she
thought it would be fun for the kids. Taylor also runs Bobbie’s
Daycare out of Mt. Pulaski and said she’s all about the kids.
As the event got underway, kids and adults alike walked around a
large circle of numbers, each separated into its own box. A speaker
was set up on the sidewalk, and when the music started playing, the
people started walking. When the music stopped, everyone did too.
Taylor used a random number generator and called out the number it
came up with. If you were lucky enough to be on that number, you won
a baked good.
The goodies ranged from cookies and Rice Krispie treats to full
cakes. The winner got to pick whatever they wanted. Lincoln Daily
News’ own reporter Matt Boutcher and his wife Abby even gave it a
go, both winning on their first try!

The cake walk went on for nearly two hours and became more popular
as time went on. During that time, dozens of baked goods were given
away. Taylor shared that several people donated cookies and other
treats for the event. Taylor herself baked all the cakes that were
given out.
