The

night in Central State Eight volleyball action at Roy S. Anderson.
Peyton Sasse led the Lady Railers with 15 kills.
Lincoln improved their record to 6-0 in the conference and 15-2
overall.
Set one
The Lady Railers fell behind 3-4 in the first set to the Senators.
Back-to-back kills by Peyton Sasse gave Lincoln a 5-4 advantage and
it was full speed ahead from there. With Addy Qualters at the
service line Lincoln would race out to a 16-4 lead. Sasse picked up
a couple more kills during the enormous run and Rebecca Burge added
a kill and a tip. Burge’s kill from the middle set the score at
19-8. The Lincoln lead was 22-10 after a kill by Alyssa Company.
Following an error by the Senators, Company picked up another kill
on the slide and the win was all but in the books, with the score
now 24-10. Sasse finished the Senators off with a kill and the final
score of 25-10 was recorded in the scorebook.
Set two
Taryn Stoltzenburg started set two with an ace but again it would be
the Senators taking the lead early, 3-4 the score. Sasse tied the
score again with a kill and her next kill of the set would stretch
the lead to 8-5. Sasse, who was battling a headache, showed no signs
of slowing down. A kill and an ace by the junior allowed Lincoln an
11-6 lead. After a tip by Froebe, which was preceded by an excellent
dig by Becca Heitzig, the Lady Railers were up 13-7. A quick set to
Company was a surprise to the Senators and Lincoln’s lead was 15-9.

couple Sasse kills the lead was still intact, 19-13 the score. Kills
by Lily Holmes and Sasse again stretched the lead to 21-13. The

kills. Lincoln remains unbeaten in the CS8 with a 25-17 win.
