Wednesday, September 6th, evening was an invitation only soft opening for the newly remodeled Blue Dog Steakery, formerly the Blue Dog Inn, on Sangamon Street in Lincoln.

New owners Paul Sabo and Val Carnes were on site to visit with guests. The new Blue Dog will feature a salad bar with baked potatoes, fresh salads and toppings, fresh baked rolls, and two daily soups.

Several new options as well as several old Blue Dog favorites will be offered.

The steakery is open for business this weekend and a grand opening ribbon cut is being planned for Monday, September 25th at 10:30 a.m. The public will be invited to attend, with the restaurant officially opening at 11 a.m. that day.

Guests report that the atmosphere is fabulous, with a familiar yet fresh new feeling.

The food is excellent and those who have reported, say they are looking forward to return visits in the future.
