They’re
coming, again.
In buses, trucks, and vans.
Next summer, a few hundred out-of-state teenagers will be descending
upon our town. How’s your blood pressure?
A little anxious?
Well, you don’t need to be.
This caravan of high school students is not coming to raise havoc,
but raising
several hundred dollars each for the opportunity to help improve the
homes and lives of elderly, disabled, veteran, and low-income
residents in our community.
They’re coming to work hard, get dirty, have fun, and make new
lifelong friends. They’re coming for WORKCAMP FOR LINCOLN 2024!
Workcamp For Lincoln is a partnership between CAPCIL, Group Mission
Trips (Ft. Collins, CO), the City of Lincoln/Logan County, the Woods
Foundation, and several area businesses and churches.
In 2021, nearly 200 teenagers and youth workers transformed 25 area
homes, in a single week. And, they were joined by a surprise
celebrity participant, Karen E Laine from the popular HGTV show
“Good Bones”, who returned to Lincoln to share at a kickoff event
this past weekend.
Applications for FREE minor home repair and/or wheelchair ramp
construction are now OPEN at
