Obituary
Erskine Wayne “Corky” Alley, 80, of
Lincoln, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023,
at Springfield Memorial Hospital.
Corky was born April 8, 1943, in Warrior, AL, the
son of Fred E. and Geraldine V. Alley. He married
Eva Sisk on June 14, 1962, in Lincoln. She preceded
him in death.
Corky is survived by his children; Sandra Renee
(Derek) Staples, Clifford Alley, Edgar (Lynette)
Alley, Melissa Kirby Alley, and Starla Giddeons; his
grandchildren; Christopher Reed, Amber Schleder,
Ashley Parks, Dwayne Alley, Heather Woodard, Matthew
Alley, Casey Griffin, Brandon Alley, Annalisa Alley,
Tim Parker, Anthony Parker, Jeremy Alley, Kyle
Welch, Nichole White, Jerad Alley, Timothy Giddens,
and Curtis Giddens; thirty-one great-grandchildren;
one great-great-grandchild on the way; and siblings,
Ronald Alley, Orlan Alley, Arlene Kiedis, Donna
Cutrer, and Sue White.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; two
grandsons, Briar Coate and Patrick White; and
siblings, Amy, Charles, Shirley, Joann, Larry,
Gordon Dale, and Vicki. |
Corky enjoyed fishing and country
music. He was in a family band. During his free
time, Corky was an artist and mechanic.

A memorial service for Corky will be held at 5 p.m.
on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Visitation will take place one hour prior from 4
p.m. to 5 p.m. Burial will be at Zion Cemetery in
Lincoln at a later date.
Memorials may be made in Corky’s name to his family.
