[September 12, 2023]  LINCOLN - Thomas J. Guy, 75, of Lincoln, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023, at his home surrounded by family.

Service:  A celebration of life will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at the Lincoln American Legion Post #263.

Thomas J. Guy, 75, of Lincoln, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023, at his home surrounded by family.

Tom was born on April 30, 1948, in Lincoln, the son of Robert W. and Ruth (Jones) Guy Sr.

Tom is survived by his children, Tim (Elizabeth) Guy and Beth Guy; grandchildren, Ryann, Madison, Max, and Bianca Rohlfs, and Maddax and Maven Guy; his siblings, Sue Rademaker, Joanne Payne, and Robert (Lynda) Guy Jr.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Donald Payne.

Tom enjoyed spending time fishing at Lincoln Lakes, Lake Okeechobee, Port Washington, WI, and Lake Shelbyville. He enjoyed the challenge of a good puzzle or word search; especially crosswords. He was a proud father and grandfather attending his grandchildren’s sporting events. He loved his time drinking coffee and talking with his friends at Rohlfs Implement alongside his four-legged companion “Chappy.”

A celebration of Tom’s life will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at the Lincoln American Legion Post #263. A private family burial will be held at Harmony Cemetery.

Memorials may be made in Tom’s name to the American Legion Post #263, Barnes Jewish Hospital, or the Humane Society of Logan County.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.
