Police there reported Kerdiles, riding his
Indian motorcycle, ran a stop sign, then hit the driver's side
of a BMW SUV, per The Tennessean. Neither driver appeared to be
impaired.
Kerdiles was raised in Irvine, Calif., and became the first
home-area player from Orange County drafted by the Ducks when
they selected him in the 2012 draft.
The second-round pick played two seasons with the Ducks
(2016-18), then was traded to Winnipeg, but he never appeared in
a Jets uniform.
In his brief career in Anaheim, the forward took part in three
games and didn't record any points.
"We're heartbroken to hear the news about Nic Kerdiles," the
Ducks posted to social media. "Our thoughts and deepest
sympathies go out to his family and loved ones."
Non-hockey fans knew Kerdiles for his time on the reality show "Chrisley
Knows Best." He formerly was engaged to Savannah Chrisley and
appeared on the show that chronicled the adventures of her
family.
