Lady Railers sweep Lanphier Lions

Each
of the Lady Railers volleyball teams defeated the Lanphier Lions on
Tuesday night inside the historic Lober-Nika Gym in Springfield.
The freshman team started the evening off by winning 15-5, 15-2 and
15-3.
The JV team won 25-7 and 25-8.
The Varsity team won 25-6 and 25-2.
Peyton Sasse led the Varsity team with 10 kills.
Alyssa Company had 9 kills.
Kloe Froebe added 8 kills.
The Lady Railers are now 22-2 on the season and 7-0 in the Central
State Eight Conference.
Lanphier is really struggling with an 0-19 record this season.
Lincoln will play at University High in Normal on Thursday night.
Going into that contest, Lincoln is ranked no. 1 in the Class 3A
MaxPreps poll and U-High is ranked no. 2 in the poll.
U-High has a 20-2 overall record.
The two teams are also in the running for the CS8 championship this
season. Lincoln currently has a 7-0 conference record and U-High has
a 6-0 conference record.

In less than 25 minutes the Lady
Railers defeated Lanphier inside the Lober-Nika Gym. The historic
gym will be demolished as soon as the new gym is completed.
Get in the gym early as it is sure to be packed!

Varsity @ 7:00 p.m.
It is also worth mentioning that according to
MaxPreps, senior setter Addison Qualters leads the state with 534
assists and senior libero/defensive specialist Becca Heitzig leads
the state with 237 digs.
