Street closures for rail repairs start Sunday, October 1st
Fifth Street Road, Stringer Avenue, South Postville Drive, South State Street

Beginning at 6 a.m. Sunday, October 1, 2023, Fifth Street Rd. west of Lincoln Parkway will be closed at the railroad crossing.

At the same time Stringer Avenue will also be closed at the railroad crossing near First Street. These closures are to allow Union Pacific Railroad crews to make repairs to the crossings.

The work is projected to be completed by Wednesday, October 4, 2023, by noon.

Following these two closures, crews will begin work on the crossings at South Postville Drive and South State Street. These two streets will close at noon on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, and will reopen Saturday October 7, 2023, at noon.
