Congressman Darin LaHood visited Heartland Community College to tour
two new facilities geared toward bolstering the area’s workforce.
Congressman LaHood and staff visited with Heartland President Keith
Cornille, Dean of Career and Technical Education Adam Campbell, and
faculty on a tour of the college’s new Advanced Manufacturing Center
and Agriculture Complex. Both facilities opened on the Heartland
Community College Main Campus in Normal in January, 2024.
Programs supported by the Advanced Manufacturing Center include
Electric Vehicle Technology, Renewable Energy, HVAC, Electronics,
Robotics, Automation, and more. The Agriculture Complex supports
Agronomy, Plant Science, Precision Planting, Soil Analysis, and
other agribusiness programs.
