On Friday afternoon
the city of Lincoln hosted a Parade of Champions for
the young people who have excelled in various
competitions throughout this school year. The IHSA
State Champion girls basketball team, the Lincoln
Community High School Lady Railers were prominent in
the parade, riding atop a city fire truck.
While the girls broke records and made history for
the school and the community, the parade, with more
than 20 entries magnified the fact that there were
many award winning moments for area youth not only
in sports but in scholastic and extracurricular
activities as well.
