Peck of Columbia, Missouri began her walk with Jesus on April 4,
2024, at the home shared with her husband, former Lincoln resident
Michael Peck, who she wed on May 6, 2011.

Shirley Peck of Columbia, Missouri
began her walk with Jesus on April 4, 2024, at the
home shared with her husband, former Lincoln
resident Michael Peck, who she wed on May 6, 2011.
Shirley Gail Peck was born September 18, 1946, in
Berkeley, California to Harry Johnson and Pauline
Johnson (nee Owens). She is survived by her husband,
Michael; her identical twin sister, Sharon Campbell
(Tom) of Sparks, Nevada; her daughter, Kelly Marie
Coble (Bryan) of Dillon, Montana; her son, Jerry
Alan Turley (Shari) of Roseville, California;
granddaughter Emily Lease of Kansas City, Missouri;
great grandchildren, Audrey Rose and Cash of Kansas
City, Missouri; brother-in-law, Jim Whittle of
Scott’s Valley, California; cousin, Rod Dodson of
Concord, California; 14 nieces and nephews; 16 great
nieces and nephews as well as Shirley’s beloved
cats, Luci and Graci.
Shirley is also survived by friends, Sondra McCall;
Sharol Stiles; Ginny Hansen; Joe Goldfarb; Anthony
Genovese and Sherrie and Dave Hockett.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and
Pauline Johnson and her sister, Joann Whittle.
Shirley was co-owner of Sashay’s Salon with her
friends Sondra and Sharol. She grew up with
Traditional Country Music and loved it throughout
her life. Shirley and Michael especially enjoyed
trips to Nashville to attend shows at the Ryman
Theatre. She was a dedicated fan of all Bay Area
sports teams and NASCAR, most of all Dale Earnhardt
Senior and Dale Junior.
In accordance with Shirley’s wishes, cremation rites
will be performed. A Memorial Service honoring
Shirley’s life will be held at Christian Fellowship
Church, Columbia at a later date.
Donations may be made in Shirley’s name to St. Jude
Children’s Research Hospital and to Central Missouri
Humane Society of Columbia, Missouri. |
