[March 28, 2024]  MINIER - Joan E. Paine, 64, of Minier, passed away at her home on Monday, March 25, 2024.

Service:  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Obituary

Joan E. Paine, 64, of Minier, passed away at her home on Monday, March 25, 2024.

Cremation Rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Joan’s life will be held at a later date.

Joan E. Skapetis Paine was born December 29, 1959, in Poughkeepsie, NY, the daughter of John D. and Kathleen Carter Skapetis. She was united in marriage to Craig W. Paine in Las Vegas in 2007. He survives.

Joan is also survived by her children: Shad Hammond, Tessica (Dan) Oehler, Craig Deuel, and Randy (Jenn) Deuel; grandchildren: Hannah Deuel, Shaun Strickert, Kyliee Bohnert, Addisyn Bohnert, Josephine Deuel, Rylan Bohnert, Jude Strickert, and Scarlett Deuel; one great-grandson, Midas Moore; two brothers: Carl Skapetis and James Skapetis; and one sister, Debra Sherlock.

Funeral Director

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Joan worked at Ferrero North America in Bloomington and served as Union Representative for The Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers (BCTGM) International Union. She loved her friends, live music, travelling, and most of all, her grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home of Atlanta is assisting the family.
