Wes Tedrick batted in the lone Railsplitters
run in the top of the sixth inning. Michael Lucas began the
inning with a triple and scored on Tedrick’s single to center.
The Senators were on the board with four runs in the first
inning and three more in the second inning.
Heading into the bottom of the sixth inning with a 7-1 lead, the
Senators were able to plate four runs and win by the ten-run
rule.
Lincoln had five hits in the game.
Michael Lucas had two hits and Colbie Glenn, Wes Tedrick and
Drew Hayes each had one hit.
Carson Fuiten took the loss for Lincoln. He worked five innings
and allowed nine hits and five earned runs. He struck out two
and walked two.
Dyllan Ferguson faced five batters in the sixth inning and gave
up one hit and four runs. He walked three.
Tate Johnston faced three batters in the sixth inning and he
allowed one hit.
Lincoln falls to 5-6 on the season.
The Railsplitters host Champaign Central on Thursday at 4:30
p.m.
