LCHS Railsplitter Track and Field Senior Night

[April 11, 2024] 

Tuesday afternoon the Railsplitter Track and Field team hosted a boys meet at Handlin Field, however with just one home meet this season, both the senior boys and girls were recognized prior to the competitions.

The senior girls honored were: Alyssa Buffington, Becca Heitzig, Addison Rawlins, Avery Rawlins and Mattea McFadden.

The senior boys honored were: Ki’on Carson, Kani Carson, Ben Crombie, Joseph Dahmm, Angel Haro, Luke Jones, Ryan Lichtenwalter, Ethan Maynard and Evan Wachendorf.

Just a few of the notable winners and high finishers from the meet with Normal University High included:

Ki’on Carson ~ 100m first place with a time of 11.6.

Kani Carson ~ 400m first place with a time of 52.2.

Ben Crombie ~ 800m first place with a time of 1:59.9.

Preston Short ~ 1600m second place with a time of 4:53.1.

Colin Crombie ~ 1600m third place with a time of 5:00.0.

Owen Cyrulik ~ 1600m fourth place with a time of 5:04.1.

Parker Campbell ~ 110m hurdles first place with a time of 14.6.

Garrett Lacefield ~ 110m hurdles second place with a time of 19.3.

Parker Campbell ~ 300m hurdles first place with a time of 41.9.

Garrett Lacefield ~ 300m hurdles second place with a time of 46.7.

4x200 relay team first place with a time of 1:43.3 featuring Kade Huskins, Seth Durbin, Braxton Eilertson and Zain Hubrich.

4x400 relay team first place with a time of 3:40.1 featuring Ben Crombie, Ki’on Carson, Luke Jones and Kani Carson.

4x800 relay team first place with a time of 9:01.0 featuring Owen Cyrulik, Elijah Crawford, Colin Crombie and Preston Short.

Joe Dahmm ~ Discus first place with a toss of 133’0.

The Railsplitter boys track and field team is coached by Jenna Crombie.

The Railsplitter girls track and field team is coached by Nathan Lieber.
