An RBI single by Franklin Wade in the top of
the fourth inning made the score 6-1. Lexington
managed to put together a big sixth inning that shortened the
game. Five base hits and three walks helped bring in five more
runs and the ballgame ended due to the ten-run rule. Liam Smith
and Carter Clark each pitched in the sixth inning as the
Minutemen picked up the 11-1 win at home.
Landon Smith took the loss for Mount Pulaski. He worked three
innings, allowing four hits and six runs. Only one run was
earned. He struck out six and walked three.
Liam Smith worked two and one-third innings. He allowed three
hits and three earned runs. He struck out three and walked one.
Carter Clark allowed two hits and two runs in the sixth inning.
He walked three batters.
Mount Pulaski’s offense was very slim versus the Minutemen.
Landon Smith, Tyler Cross, Franklin Wade and Kolin Gibbs had
Mount Pulaski’s only hits.
Jaxson Goodrich was the winning pitcher for Lexington.
Mount Pulaski’s record is now 12-1.
