Obituary
Dorothy A. Gordon, 78, of McLean,
passed away at OSF St. Joseph Hospital in
Bloomington on Saturday, April 6, 2024.
Private family services are scheduled.
Burial will be in the McLean Cemetery.
Dorothy A. Carlin was born September 16, 1945, the
daughter of William and Helen Bowman Carlin. She was
united in marriage to James “Silent” Gordon on
February 23, 1962. He preceded Dorothy in death on
March 19, 2009.
Dorothy is survived by six children: April (Jerry)
Lewis, Marvin (Shari) Gordon, Candy Anderson, Diane
Gordon, Patricia Gordon, and Tonya Gordon; 12
grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one
great-great-granddaughter; and one sister, Donna
(Lee) Dillingham. |
She was preceded in death by her
husband; great-grandson Gabriel Michael Odom; and
siblings: Sarah Langley, Jerry Carlin, Bill Carlin,
and Frances Robbins.
Dorothy worked at the DIXIE Trucker’s Home as a
dishwasher for 20 years.
Memorials may be made to the funeral home for the
family.
Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley
Funeral Home of Atlanta.
