[April 19, 2024] The
Washington Mystics on Thursday became the latest WNBA team to announce a
venue change to accommodate a visit from Caitlin Clark and the Indiana
Fever.
The Mystics are moving their June 7 date from the 4,200-seat
Entertainment & Sports Arena to the 20,000-seat Capital One Arena, home
of the NBA's Wizards and NHL's Capitals. |

The Mystics' news release cited "unprecedented
demand" for tickets in the wake of Monday night's WNBA Draft,
when the Fever selected all-time NCAA scoring leader Clark with
the No. 1 overall pick.
The Las Vegas Aces announced earlier this week that they have
moved their July 2 game against Indiana from Michelob Ultra
Arena (12,000 seats) to T-Mobile Arena (18,000).
Similar venue shifts have been happening in MLS since last
season, when superstar Lionel Messi joined Inter Miami.
