[April 22, 2024]  Ramiz Ahmed kicked a game-winning 46-yard field goal with four seconds left to send the Birmingham Stallions past the visiting DC Defenders, 20-18, on Saturday night.

DC (2-2) had just moved in front on Matthew McCrane's 39-yard boot exactly one minute earlier. But Birmingham then used five plays to move 31 yards, setting up Ahmed's game-winner.

The lead changed hands four times in the final 7:41, as McCrane and Ahmed also traded field goals earlier in the fourth quarter.

Matt Corral connected on 19 of 29 passes for 240 yards and a touchdown for the Stallions (4-0), whose leading receiver was Amari Rodgers (four catches, 82 yards, TD).

Jordan Ta'amu had 161 yards and a pair of scores on 12-for-22 passing for the Defenders.

Battlehawks 32, Showboats 17

Quarterback AJ McCarron threw for 222 yards and three touchdowns to lead St. Louis to a home win over Memphis.

Jacob Saylors added 103 yards on the ground on 15 carries as the Battlehawks (3-1) outgained Memphis 355-127 in total yards. With his team nursing a 20-17 lead going into the fourth quarter, McCarron found Jake Sutherland for a 7-yard touchdown connection to provide breathing room, then polished off the win with an 8-yard touchdown throw to Jahcour Pearson.

Memphis (1-3) kept up for a half, trading scores, and even grabbed an early 6-3 lead on a 17-yard touchdown pass from Case Cookus to Vinny Papale.

Brahmas 19, Panthers 9

Quinten Dormady racked up 269 passing yards and host San Antonio allowed just three points through the first three quarters to cruise to a victory over Michigan.

Dormady completed 23 of 37 passes and threw for one touchdown. He was also picked off once as the Brahmas improved to 3-1. Justin Smith had seven catches for 107 yards, while Jontre Kirklin hauled in five receptions for 105.

The Panthers (2-2) were held in check until their second-to-last drive of the game, when Danny Etling found Marcus Simms for a 41-yard touchdown. Etling had 105 yards, a touchdown and an interception on 11-of-14 passing.
