[April 23, 2024]   At 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, two dedicated members of the Central Illinois Veterans Commission (CIVC) retired from their positions on the board of directors.

The meeting was called to order by President Joe Schaler who led everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance followed by Marsha Fernandes leading everyone in a prayer of thanksgiving for all the things CIVC has accomplished, and also for protection for all the brave men and women currently serving our country.

Dan Benedict and Chuck Conzo were called forward to receive recognition for their service.

Each of them was part of a group of likeminded individuals who saw the need for veteran's assistance in Logan County. The CIVC was founded in December of 2018 with both included as charter board members.
