Emarie Willis, daughter of Nikki Marten and
Brad Willis, has been named April-Senior-of-the-Month at Mount
Pulaski High School.
During her time at MPHS Emarie has stayed actively
involved in extracurricular activities. She has been a member of
Student Council (President for 2 years), FCCLA, and Drama for 4
years.

She has also been on Yearbook for 4 years, serving as
Editor for 1 year.

years. She has also been on Yearbook for 4 years, serving as Editor
for 1 year. She has also done Academic Challenge and Science
Olympiad for 3 years, NHS for 2 years, and Cheer and FFA for 1 year.
Emarie has been on the Straight A honor roll every semester of high
school. She also was named English 1, Biology, and Advanced Biology
student of the year.
In addition to her school obligations, Emarie has worked and
volunteered during her high school years. She has worked at
Vonderlieth, has babysat for families, and will be working at the
Mt. Pulaski pool this summer. She has also helped with trick or
treating for canned goods, Freshmen Bootcamp, Christmas on Vinegar
Hill, cleaned up the courthouse lawn, managed bounce houses at Fall
Fest, the Color Run at Fall Fest, concessions at various sporting
events, card making for the residents at Vonderlieth, founded and
ran the Pura Vida coffee shop at MPHS, and has helped and donated
blood for the FCCLA Blood Drive.

Emarie plans to attend Southern
Illinois University in the fall, majoring in Biology. She then
plans to attend medical school and become a dermatologist.
The Senior-of-the-Month program is
sponsored by Conaway Handyman Service and Downing, Przykopanski,
Clements, & May Insurance Agency, Inc.
They are also in the running for the $500 Senior-of-the-Year award
sponsored by INB.
