OSF Health hosts dedication
ceremony for new Obstetrics & Gynecology offices in Lincoln

Thursday
morning the community welcomed another medical services provider to
Lincoln. The OSF (Order of St. Francis) Medical Group Obstetrics &
Gynecology is located at 601 Woodlawn (next door to Central Illinois
Urgent Care. Representatives from OSF Health hosted a Blessing and
Dedication service to mark the official opening of the women’s
health facility.
Public Relations and Communications Coordinator
Patricia Penn opened the ceremony with a welcome and introduction of
various speakers for the event.
OSF Assistant Chaplain Pastoral Care, Father Donald
Rozkowski led the opening prayer.
Bamidele A. Ogunleye, MD of Advanced Women's
Healthcare spoke about his partnership with OSF and his team of
highly skilled obstetrics and gynecology doctors, midwives, and
advanced practice nurses.
OSF Medical Group Vice President of Operations,
Marcia Cooper shared a "thank you" for those who came and the
tradition of the "blessing" that they cherish. She spoke of the
strategic partnership with Advanced Women's Care to bridge the gaps
in obstetrics and gynecology care providing compassionate health
care in smaller communities.
Cooper said, "At each of these clinics, women will find the heart of
our care. While the miracle of labor and delivery will happen at OSF
HealthCare St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, everything else
- from prenatal and postpartum care to well-woman checkups and
gynecologic care - will be right in their neighborhood, close to
home sweet home.
“Our OSF Sisters committed to caring for patients
many years ago and continue to do so today. We are blessed to be
part of a Ministry with the Mission of serving others with the
greatest care and love."
She thanked their Mission Partners and said, "It took a village;
without all of you, we wouldn't be here today. We are truly blessed.
Thank you!"
Father "Don", as he calls himself, led in the blessing of the
facility and its mission as well as prayed for all those who would
come for care.
A ribbon cut was performed outside in front of the
entrance to the facility. Tours and refreshments were served
afterwards.
