The teams will take the field for a straight
doubleheader Tuesday at 3:40 p.m. Game 2 will begin
approximately 40 minutes after Game 1's conclusion.
The Tigers entered the week four games above .500 after winning
each of their past three series, most recently taking the final
two games of a home set with Kansas City. The Cardinals have won
four of their past six after a slow start to the season.
Pitching plans for Tuesday were not yet known. On Monday, the
Cardinals were scheduled to start lefty Steven Matz (1-2, 5.55
ERA) against Detroit right-hander Kenta Maeda (0-1, 5.96).
