On Wednesday afternoon several young members of
the various Logan County 4-H clubs turned out to show off their
goats in the 4-H Goat Show. The youngsters, some of who were smaller
than their goats did an excellent job of keeping the happy and
playful goats in line so that the judge could see each kid and
animal in its best light.

As the animals were paraded around the arena in the
north livestock show barn, the judge often had a perplexed look as
he struggled to decide which of the fine animals was the vest. Each
animal stood its own very well in the competition with their
structure and carriage being comparable to each other.
In the end it was Palmer Foran who took the Champion
Meat Doe with Mason Short getting the Reserve.
Mason also took the Champion Meat Wether.

Palmer took home the largest number of individual
championships showing superior and winning the Champion Scramble
Goat Confirmation, Champion Scramble Goad Record, Champion Scramble
Goat Showmanship, Champion Overall Scramble Goat, and the Junior
Goat Showmanship award.
Mason Short took the Reserve Champion Scramble Goat Confirmation
award.
