This year, there were a total of seven entries in the
My Favorite Pie competition auctioned off by auctioneer Ty Tucker.
The first pie up for bidding was Judy Smith’s first place apple pie,
which was purchased for $600 by a donor who wished to remain
anonymous.
Next up for bidding was Darlene Crider’s second place
almond cherry pie which was purchased for $150 by Lyle and Phyllis
Read.
Crider’s third place pecan pie was purchased for $425
by “Nibs,” who was representing Larry Stanfield.

for $250 by Lincoln Land Catering. Her fifth place pecan pie was
purchased for $325 by the folks at Elkhart Station.

purchased for $400 by Elkhart Station.
The final pie up for bidding was Carter’s seventh
place pineapple pie was purchased for $145 by Ritchhart’s Petting
Zoo
Tucker thanked everyone who purchased pies and said
he looks forward to seeing everyone next year.
The money raised by the pie auction helps maintain the Logan County
Fairgrounds. Not only do the generous bidders help keep the
fairgrounds looking nice, but they also get to eat some delicious
pie, which is a win-win situation for all.
