Obituary
James “Jim” A. Tucker, 91, of Lincoln
passed away on Monday, August 5, 2024, at St.
Clara’s Rehab and Senior Care.
Jim was born November 29, 1932, in Lincoln, IL, the
son of Damen and Wahnita (Sutton) Tucker. He married
Roberta Rodgers in 1955 in Mason City. She preceded
him in death in 2009.
Jim is survived by his sons:
Randy Tucker: Randy’s daughter, Megan (Alan)
Zwilling her children, Addison and Brooklyn. Randy’s
son, Ryan (Shannon) Tucker and his children,
Harrison and Benjamin
Rick (Cindy) Tucker: Rick’s children, Allen Tucker,
Cassie Tucker, and Katy (Orlando) Garcia and her
children, Noah, Ava, and Joseph.
Rory (Kelly) Tucker: Rory’s children, Wesley Tucker,
Brad (Alyssa) Tucker and his children, Lydia and
Reese.
Rusty (Shantra) Tucker: Rusty’s children, Britton
(Devin) Tucker, Alex (Kayla) Tucker and his son Theo
Tucker.
Rodger (Ashley) Tucker: Rodger’s children, Madison
Tucker and Shay Tucker.

Jim is also survived by his brother,
Floyd Tucker; brother-in-law, Jerry Rodgers;
sisters-in-law, Barbara Rodgers, Nancy Rodgers, and
Catherine Tucker.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta; his
parents; his brothers, Tom Tucker and Franklin
Tucker; his sister, Marilyn Lesley; sister-in-law,
Wilma Tucker; and brothers-in-law, Jack Rodgers and
Larry Rodgers.
Jim graduated from High School in 1950. After high
school he proudly served his country in the US Army
during the Korean War. When he came home he worked
for Lehn & Fink in Lincoln, IL. Later he worked for
Mutual of Omaha and retired from the Secretary of
State Office.
Jim enjoyed volunteer work especially with the
Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum. He
was also a loyal supporter of the Lincoln American
Legion Post #263.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on
Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Mason City Cemetery in
Mason City.
