[August 08, 2024]    On Monday, August 5, an open house was held at 815 Bryan Avenue in Lincoln to showcase the most recent building project by the Lincolnland Technical Education Center.

The home offers a beautiful open concept living space, three bedrooms with large closets and two bathrooms. There is also a 40-inch crawlspace.

In the utility room, LTEC director Matt Puckett said there is a tankless water heater. The house also features an oversized two car garage and an additional lot to the south of the property.

From the back, you can see a former tree farm with many trees that provide a good windbreak.

Because Bryan Avenue has just a few homes on it, Puckett refers to the area the house sits on as a “hidden gem.”

The building project took a year. Eight students in the building trades class worked on the project during the school year under the supervision of Building Trades instructor John Ford.

Students in the LTEC program come from several participating high schools including Greenview, Hartsburg-Emden, Illini Central, Lincoln, Mt. Pulaski, Porta and Williamsville-Sherman.

The students finished their part of the work in May.

In June, Puckett said the concrete, gutters and plumbing were finished.
