Texas man dies in plane crash near Elkhart

Logan County Coroner Donald P. Peasley , NTSB and FAA are investigating a single airplane crash with one fatality that was report on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 6:21 p.m. south of Elkhart , Illinois. Pronounced dead at the scene was Roger L. Millheim, 77, of Frankston, Texas. Mr. Millheim was the only person on the airplane.

Responding agencies were Elkhart Fire and Rescue, Lincoln Rural Fire Department, Logan County Paramedics, Logan County Sheriff’s Department, Logan County EMA.
