[August 15, 2024]  LINCOLN - Gary B. Leesman, 78, of Lincoln, formerly of Atlanta, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024, at his home.

Service:  Graveside Services for Gary will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the Atlanta Cemetery

Obituary

Gary B. Leesman, 78, of Lincoln, formerly of Atlanta, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024, at his home.

Graveside Services for Gary will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the Atlanta Cemetery. Pastor Paul Weber will officiate. Cremation Rites have been accorded.

Military Rites will be accorded Atlanta American Legion Post #341.
Gary Blain Leesman was born December 5, 1945, in Atlanta, the son of Clarence and Clara Mae Gillard Leesman. They preceded Gary in death.

Gary is survived by one daughter, Stephanie (Joseph) Fulkerson of Lincoln, and one son, Keith Leesman of California; three granddaughters: Lanae (Blake Byrge) Laubenstein, Chloe Laubenstein, and Brynley Laubenstein; one great-granddaughter: Presley Byrge; two brothers: Wayne (Margaret) Leesman and Larry (Glenna) Leesman; and one sister, Darlene Leesman.

He was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Rhonda Leesman, and one sister, Carol Estes.

Gary attended Atlanta High School and then served in the United States Navy. He had worked as a cook at the Tropics in Lincoln. Gary enjoyed fishing, riding his electric bicycle, and being outdoors.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or his family.

Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home of Atlanta.
