Obituary
With profound sadness, we announce
the passing of Gordon “ Daniel” Lessen, on July 25,
2024, at the age of 38.
Cremation rites have been accorded by Holland Barry
& Bennett Funeral Home.
Daniel was known for his humor, charm, and sense for
adventure. His love for the outdoors was boundless,
finding peace and joy in activities like fishing,
camping, and kayaking. Nature was his sanctuary, and
he embraced it with a zest for life that was truly
inspiring.
He was a beloved son, father,
brother, uncle and friend, whose ability to make
others laugh and feel at ease was a testament to his
generous spirit. His charm and enthusiasm left
indelible mark on everyone he met. Daniel had a soft
spot for those who carried stones in their pockets,
offering his empathy and support to those bearing
the weight of life's challenges. In times of solace,
Daniel found comfort and peace in the words of John
14:1-5: "Do not let your hearts be troubled. You
believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s
house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I
have told you that I am going there to prepare a
place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for
you, I will come back and take you to be with me
that you also may be where I am. You know the way to
the place where I am going." |
Daniel was preceded in death by his
grandfather Galen Lessen, grandparents Thomas and
Mary Bailey and his uncle Bruce Lessen.
He is survived by his grandmother
Betty Lessen, his father Gordon Lessen, mother Ann
Bailey, sisters Rebecca Fiala and Sarah Lessen, half
-sister Jennifer Grier, brothers Dylan and Dalton
Lessen, daughters Grace and Rebella Lessen, son
Ashton Auth, nieces and nephews, who will forever
treasure the memories of him and his light.
A celebration of Daniel’s life
will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024at the
Lincoln KC’s from 12 noon until 8 p.m. where friends
and family can gather to honor his memory.
