(2), 6-2; and qualifier Learner Tien outlasted No. 9 seed Fabian
Marozsan 6-2, 6-7 (1), 7-6 (2).
Belgium's Zizou Bergs rallied past sixth-seeded Tomas Martin
Etcheverry of Argentina, 4-6, 7-5, 6-3.
Italian No. 10 seed Lorenzo Sonego and French No. 12 seed Arthur
Rinderknech avoided the carnage, winning their matches in
straight sets. But Spanish wild card Pablo Carreno Busta
defeated Kazakh 13th seed Alxander Shevchenko 6-2, 6-2 in just
69 minutes, and Christopher Eubanks beat No. 14 seed Hugo Gaston
6-1, 6-4 in just 56 minutes.
No. 15 seed Pavel Kotov advanced with a 6-4, 5-7, 6-2 win over
Frenchman Alexandre Muller.
In evening action, No. 11 Alex Michelsen of the United States
downed Hungary's Marton Fucsovics 7-6 (3), 6-4, and No. 17 seed
Roman Safiullin of Russia topped France's Corentin Moutet 6-1,
7-5.
