[November 27, 2024]  LINCOLN -  Vicki L. Broughton, 70, of Lincoln, passed away November 24, 2024, at Springfield Memorial Hospital with her family by her side.

Visitation: A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, December 9, 2024, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lincoln.

Service: Memorial services will follow at 11 a.m. and burial will follow that in Richmond Grove Cemetery, New Holland.

Vicki L. Broughton, 70, of Lincoln, passed away November 24, 2024, at Springfield Memorial Hospital with her family by her side.

Cremation rites have been accorded by Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home. A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, December 9, 2024, from 10 AM until 11 AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lincoln. Memorial services will follow at 11 AM and burial will follow that in Richmond Grove Cemetery, New Holland.

Vicki was born May 8, 1954, in Lincoln, IL., the daughter of Rudolph Deiss Jr. and Darlene (Connor). She retired in 2008 from Lincoln Elementary after serving many years as the school nurse. Vicki was a free-spirited social butterfly that loved anything that sparkled. She enjoyed music, jewelry, fashion, and beauty. She loved her cats and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her son Alec Broughton and his wife Ashley; and her siblings: Michael (Donna) Deiss, Ronald Deiss, David (Wilma) Deiss, and Rudolph "Chip" Deiss III. Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Logan County, or to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
