Obituary
Thomas Clifton Sawicki, 62, of
Lincoln, passed away December 5, 2024.
Cremation rites have been accorded
by Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home. A memorial
visitation will be held from 1-3 on Thursday,
December 12, 2024, at the funeral home with a
memorial service following at 3 PM. Casual dress is
requested.
Tom was born September 11, 1962, in Peoria, IL., the
son of Francis S. "Frank" Sawicki and Joelle Dell
(Manuel) Sawicki. He married Jennifer Kelly Booth on
August 18, 2000. Tom graduated from Lincoln
Community High School in 1981. He worked in the
automotive industry for many years. Later in life,
he was an over the road truck driver and traveled
around all of the lower 48 states. He told many
stories about seeing the wonders of the nation. He
had most recently driven for Davis Brothers Trucking
to enjoy more time with family. He was passionate
about the outdoors, and seeing the beauty of the
wilderness. He was also a lifelong NASCAR fan,
thanks to his father. He was always extremely proud
of his children, and all of their personal
accomplishments. He was also extremely proud of his
own sobriety, and overcoming many challenges which
in the end, led him to find peace and happiness.

Survivors include his wife Jennifer Sawicki; his
children: Ian Sawicki of Seattle WA, Sam Sawicki of
Minneapolis MN, Zoey Sawicki of Grand Canyon AZ,
Marissa Booth of Ottawa IL, and Mylo (Reanna)
Sawicki of Lincoln IL; his sister Suzanne Sawicki of
Decatur IL, and brothers Marty (Neva) Sawicki of
Ellijay GA, and Stan (Marguerite) Sawicki of Sanford
NC; several nieces, nephews, and extended family
members also survive.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his
parents, his brother Mitchell Sawicki, and most
recently his “little road warrior” dog, Tilly.
